Who is behind all this?

Valentine Peretroukhine (i.e. Me) has done all the coding/designing and handles all financial relations for Moronland. Dima Kurylovich is a constant contributor worthy of mentioning here.

Another Redesign?!

This time, it'll stick. Trust us. The one major thing that pushed us to redesign the website was web standards. For all of you not familiar with these, they're basically a set of rules that are supposed to govern how web browsers display websites. Currently, each browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Camino etc.) has its own set of rules that govern the way they display the same exact code. To put this into perspective, now-a-days, building a website that is cross browser compliant, is sort of like making ice cream taste the delicious to a person who likes sweet things and to a person who likes sour things. First you make a sweet mixture and attempt to add as little sourness as possible so it still tastes great to both people. Also, once in a while a guy who likes spicy things comes along... and you're back to square one. Its a mess and these rules are trying to make all browsers use them and end all of this confusion. Moronland.com is now officially built using these rules. For more information go to w3c.com.

Give me all the details. I love details!

When thinking about the new design, the first thing we realised was that simplicity is beautiful. To put it metaphorically, the more side dishes you add to your plate, the more you forget about the meat and potatoes that are hiding underneath. This is what we'd like Moronland.com to be; meat and potatoes. To answer your question, heres a list of new/outstanding features in Moronland.com V4:
  • New, Easier Navigation, Sexy Logo and Informative Footer
  • Easier URLs that are easier to remember.
  • No More Membership - Anyone can vote or submit media.
  • The same great forum.
  • Cleaner / easier to read media section with sexy looking page numbers.
  • Simple Voting - Like it or Not
  • Virtually No Ads! We hate them too. Popups will never be here.

When do you guys update?

We try to update every odd day. (i.e. 1,3,5th etc.). Remember, we're full time students and its sometimes hard for us to keep a regular update schedules. You can do two things. Rant at us through our contact page. Or volunteer to help us. Your choice.

Id like to be your partner.

Head on over to our contact page and follow the instructions there.

Im starting a site sort of like yours. Any advice?

By advice, I suppose you want to know how to make money. This is a tough question to answer but Ill try my best. First of all, make sure that your website is about something you enjoy - that will make everything a lot easier. Second of all, get your own domain name. They cost about 9$ bucks a year now-a-days and will instantly make your site more professional. Reccomended registrar - Namecheap.com. Second, content is king. Make sure you're updating your site regularly with stuff you consider worthy of a website youd like to see. Think to yourself, if you were a casual web surfer would you return to your own site? Why or why not?. Lastly - the actual money part. There are many money making methods out there for sites but two of my favourites are AzoogleAds (provide the ringtone/poker text links you see) and Tshirthell.com, great affiliate program where you make 4$ for every tshirt they sell from your visitors. I'll ad to this as time progresses.

So its only one guy?

Well me (Valentin) is the guy who does all the coding/designing (all of the site is made from scratch) and Dima is another dude who helps to update once in a while.

How/when did you guys start?

October 27th, 2004 is our starting date. I randomly searched up available domains and came up with a catchy Moronland.com. We never looked back. Well maybe a couple imes.

I'd like to contact you but Im too blind to see the Contact Us buttom on the left hand side.

I forgive you. It is Moronland.

I bet you've never actually been asked any of these but are just making these questions up to make it seem like you get countless emails from thousands of fans.

Hokay.
